Forensics

Description of service provided: 

Provides in jail assessment, psychiatric services, and ongoing treatment services to incarcerated populations. Forensic services also provide lethality assessments and on site trainings for all prison personnel. Targeted assessments are also offered to the Courts to assist in sentencing recommendations.

Geographic area of service:

Elk, Cameron, and Potter counties

Admission criteria:

Participants must be involved in the criminal justice system and have an Axis I mental health issue requiring treatment.

How to access service:

Referrals are accepted from the Courts, probation departments, state parole agents, and corrections staff.

How individuals pay for the service:

This is a grant-funded service during incarceration. Insurance or self-pay is required after incarceration. Mobile therapy is offered if CCBH insurance is available upon release.
