A dialectical behavior therapy group for adults will start on a weekly basis on Friday, May 3, 2019. The group sessions will be held from 11:00am - 12:30pm at DCI’s Main Outpatient office, which is located at 43 Servidea Drive in Ridgway.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based practice to develop skills to improve emotional control, decision-making, relationships of all kinds, and reduce risky behaviors and thoughts such as self-injury, suicidal thoughts, and substance abuse. DBT skills are helpful for a number of problems, especially those associated with a past history of long-term trauma.

Participants must be engaged in individual therapy and remain in therapy throughout the entire time in order to continue work with personal issues.
