A dialectical behavior therapy group for adults will start on a weekly basis on Thursday, January 10, 2018. The group sessions will be held from 2:30pm -4:00pm at DCI’s St. Marys Outpatient office, which is located at 808 South Michael Road, St. Marys.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based practice to develop skills to improve emotional control, decision-making, relationships of all kinds, and reduce risky behaviors and thoughts such as self-injury, suicidal thoughts, and substance abuse. DBT skills are helpful for a number of problems, especially those associated with a past history of long-term trauma.

Participants must be engaged in individual therapy and remain in therapy throughout the entire time in order to continue work with personal issues.

This group is facilitated by Carol Bembenic, LCSW and Justin Bauer, LCSW.
