Dickinson Center, Inc. Offers a Comprehensive Outpatient Team to Serve Potter County

Potter County- Dickinson Center, Inc. (DCI) continues to offer invaluable outpatient services to the Potter County community.  Dickinson Center, Inc. was formed in 1958 as the Ridgway Area Psychiatric Center. Initially, Dickinson opened to provide outpatient psychiatric care to rural Northwestern Pennsylvania and served over six counties.  DCI is now recognized as one of the leading rural behavioral health providers in Northwestern Pennsylvania, and has evolved into an organization with over 200 employees.   DCI offers mental health, intellectual disability, and children’s prevention services operating in Elk, Cameron, Potter, McKean, Forest, Warren, Jefferson, and Clearfield counties. 

In its Potter County office location, DCI offers an array of services at the Gunzburger Building, in Coudersport, to provide crucial behavioral health outpatient, community, community, and emergency services.  These services include individual, group and family therapy along with psychiatric evaluations and medication management. 

Liberty Eberly, D.O. is a board certified psychiatrist practicing since 2007 in community mental health. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Society, and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association.

Robert Wilson MD, PhD a board certified psychiatrist with two decades of experience working in community mental health. He is board-certified in general, child and adolescent psychiatry.  He is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and a previous recipient of a Service Recognition Award from NAMI of Erie County.

Netra Baker, R.N. brings 40 years of experience in clinical nursing and hospital administration.  Netra conducts patient evaluations and provides medication management support as well is a vital resource to DCI’s tele-psychiatric prescribers.  Netra works with all ages and diagnostic categories.  She additionally provides care navigation services, and works closely with other social service agencies throughout the region. 

Amy Mickle, L.P.C. is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania.  She has over 14 years’ experience in the fields of counseling and education.  Amy has skills and experience with young children, teens, and adults as well as conducting group therapy.  She has vast experience in working with children and adolescents with attention deficit disorders, developmental disabilities, self-injurious behaviors, substance abuse, and mood disorders.  She has significant experience providing psycho-educational workshops on stress management, communication skills, and bullying.  As a certified yoga instructor, Amy offers a wellness approach in working with clients by addressing the whole person. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a modality in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorders.

Amber Cooper, LCSW has over 15 years’ experience in the mental health field.  She is a licensed clinical social worker in Pennsylvania.  Amber has many years of experience in crisis services, as well as in outpatient counseling.  Amber works with children, adolescents, and adults.  She has experience treating individuals who are having a difficult time adjusting to life changes, as well as treating those who suffer from more significant mental health problems.  She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), provides services to individuals with anxiety, depression, psychosis, a history of trauma, relationship problems, and personality disorders.  

Steven Symans, M.A. has over 20 years of supervisory and direct service experience in the field of crisis intervention, and provides clinical oversight to DCI’s Crisis Intervention Program. Steve is certified in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.  One of Steve’s specialties is conducting crisis assessments  and directing consumers to the type of care they require.  Steve also has familiarity with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
