New Psychiatrist Joins Dickinson Center, Inc.

Dr. Ashok Bharucha, MD

Dickinson Center, Inc. is pleased to welcome Dr. Ashok Bharucha to their clinical team, effective September 8, 2015. Dr. Bharucha is board certified in General Psychiatry, board certified in Geriatric Psychiatry, and he holds an unrestricted Pennsylvania license.  He completed Psychiatry Residency at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA and he completed a Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at the University of Washington School Of Medicine in Seattle, Washington. During his career, he has held Professor of Psychiatry and Medical Director positions.  

Dr. Bharucha has achieved many accomplishments in psychiatric research with over 90 publications, book chapters, abstracts, and presentations, in total.  His experience includes teaching at well-known US medical schools, and he has received honors and awards from well-respected institutions.  Most recently, Dr. Bharucha provided psychiatric evaluations and psychopharmacology for an under-served area in an outpatient community mental health setting.

Dr. Bharucha will be providing face-to-face psychiatric care to individuals in DCI’s Ridgway and St. Marys outpatient locations. Additionally, he will be supporting DCI’s forensic population, and providing psychiatric services within the Elk County prison.
